Harlow Jewelry, a jewelry provider based out of Portland, has now opened its first, physical store in Northeast Portland. Harlow Jewelry previously provided quality jewelry to consumers through wholesale or retail outlets.

Founded in 2009 by Ruthie Crawford, Harlow Jewelry creates unique, handcrafted, shabby chic bracelets, necklaces, and earrings.

Crawford began her business during a difficult personal time when she was a new mother coming out of a relationship. In the midst of this, though, Crawford discovered her untapped talent for creating unique jewelry designs.

Later, she quickly gained a reputation for her line when a retailer purchased her entire stock of jewelry. Now, Harlow Jewelry is available in 750 stores nationwide (including Canada).

As a result of Crawford’s personal story, Harlow Jewelry operates as a business that inspires women to be dauntless and confident in their pursuits. In fact, their mission is “to support female-focused small businesses and organizations,” according to their press release.

Harlow Jewelry creates designs that empower women and cause wearers to look as special and capable on the outside as they feel on the inside.

First opened in April 2015, Harlow Jewelry’s physical store can be found at the Central Eastside Lofts building in Northeast Portland.

Harlow Jewelry is located on 131 NE 6th Ave.
