video: UPDATED: Gas Leak Causes Explosion in Northwest Portland on Wednesday

An explosion following a gas leak on NW 23rd and Glisan in Northwest Portland occured on Wednesday morning. 

According to Portland Fire and Rescue, three firefighters and two civilians were injured, but there were no fatalities. 

According to the Portland Police,  a Central Precinct officer was transported to the hospital by another officer following today's gas explosion on 23rd Avenue. The officer's condition is being evaluated for non-life-threatening injuries. 

The video above shows the entire street closed off and the smoke from the explosion as residents look on.
