NEW: Portland Police Lockdown Roosevelt HS Following Threat

Portland Police officers responded to and locked down Roosevelt High School on North Central street regarding a threat.

The investigation is ongoing.

Police Respond to Threat

Officers arrived and contacted school staff who said they were concerned about information they received from several students and possibly learned through social media regarding a threat to the school. 

Police and school personnel took immediate action to protect the safety of students and school staff and placed the school on lockdown. Officers have searched Roosevelt High School and the school is now on lockout for the time being.
