The Portland Police have released video of a violent robbery that took place at Maddy's on Wednesday in which a female victim was robbed and hit in the head with a gun.

The Incident

On Wednesday September 21, 2016, at 9:48 p.m., East Precinct officers responded to the report of an armed robbery at Maddy's, located at 17102 Southeast Powell Boulevard.

Officers arrived in the area and spoke with the 64-year-old female victim/employee of the bar. She told police that she was cleaning the counter when the suspect approached her from behind and demanded money. She felt something pressed up against her side and she looked and saw that the suspect had a handgun.

She then opened the register and the suspect began taking money and putting it into a bag. After demanding more money from the victim, he struck her in the head with the gun, knocking her to the ground.

The suspect left the bar and rode away westbound on Powell on a black sports motorcycle. One customer was in the bar but didn't see anything until she heard the victim yell after being struck by the suspect.
