Two Arrested Near Douglas County with 45 Pounds of Methamphetamine

The Incident
On August 11, at about 8:16 p.m., an Oregon State Police (OSP) Trooper stopped a 2011 Nissan passenger car for a traffic violation on Interstate 5 near MP 85 northbound, in Douglas County. During the traffic stop, a drug detection K-9 was applied to the exterior of the car.
The K-9 alerted to the odor of a controlled substance and a car search revealed approximately 45 pounds of suspected methamphetamine within the car.
