Two Men Arrested in Connection With November Riots

Two men were arrested in connection with the anti-trump protests Portland in the Pearl District in Portland in November of 2016. 

Elijah Gerard, 19, and David Deron Lewis Jr., 19, were arrested on Thursday, February 9 on multiple charges. 

The two men were identified through tips from the community after multiple photos and video showed them participating in damage to several businesses in the Pearl District. 

The Arrests 

Gerard was arrested and booked into the Multnomah County Jail on charges of Riot (two counts), Criminal Mischief in the First Degree, Criminal Mischief in the Second Degree (two counts), Unlawful Entry into a Motor Vehicle, and Assault in the Fourth Degree. Gerard's charges come as a result of damage to Seres Restaurant, Chase Bank and Anderson Construction, all in the Pearl District, as well as damaging a Jeep and assaulting the driver. 

Lewis Jr. was arrested and booked into the Multnomah County Jail on charges of Riot, Criminal Mischief in the First Degree (two counts), Criminal Mischief in the Second Degree, and Failure to Appear in the Second Degree (two counts). Additionally Lewis Jr. had two outstanding warrants for Criminal Trespass in the Second Degree. His charges come as a result of damage to Starbucks, Federal Express and Urban Pantry, all in the Pearl District.
