The Circus Project’s newest show, “Between Worlds”, will arrive at Portland’s Echo Theater today.

“Between Worlds” is an opportunity to see three original works of contemporary circus arts exploring themes of heroism, light, darkness and human potential. The show will utilize aerial dance, acrobatics, dance, theatre and music.
Between Worlds is an experiment, with three companies presenting work that is on the road to completion and have an opportunity to provide feedback to directors. Each company has a style voice and approach that is all their own.
The Echo Theater Company is a school under the direction of Wendy Cohen and a performance ensemble under the creative direction of Aaron Wheeler-Kay. Their faculty, teaching artists and youth performance groups create unique, professional performances with inter-generational and cross-cultural themes.
The Echo Theater Company has two locations, at the historic Echo Theater in SE Portland and at the Multnomah Arts Center in SW Portland.
The school seeks to be a haven for people of all-ages to move and create fearlessly using Aerial Arts, Dance, Acrobatics, Physical and Ensemble Theater techniques.
