Mary Coit
Portland Police are asking for help from the public in locating a missing 12-year-old girl.

Detectives earned that Mary Elizabeth Coit was last seen in the area of Southeast 188th Avenue and Stark Street on Friday night around 8:00 p.m.

She may have changed her clothes into a gray shirt, light blue Capri pants, and gray high top shoes. She was originally wearing a hot pink t-shirt, blue denim shorts, sandals, with her hair in a bun.

Coit was supposed to be watching her younger sibling but was reportedly upset about having to babysit. Coit and her family are new to the area so she may not be familiar with the neighborhood.

Officers conducted an extensive area check for Coit but did not locate her on Friday evening.

Anyone seeing Coit is asked to call 9-1-1. Anyone with non-emergency information is asked to contact Detective Lori Fonken at 503-823-1081, [email protected]
